This new site and url is the placeholder for our website as we build out our new one. Currently, we are only concerned with
the functionality of the site and being able to give you the most comprehensive information on our shows, our menu and anything
else going on at The Hi-Tone Cafe. As such, every event is linked from both the toolbar as well as the home page and calendar
to a page dedicated to that evenings events. Links for ticket purchases, times, dates, ticket prices as well as youtube.com
videos of each band are on their pages. In the future we will be adding some commentary about each band to better let you
know what to expect. It's one of the (if not the) most asked questions we get- "What does that band sound like?"
These pages are designed to answer that question.
Also, the menu page will be updated as the specials change and the menu grows. As some of you know, we open everyday at
5pm with happy hour specials and our new menu. Usually, dinner will end around 9pm (as we prepare for the evenings concert),
but the kitchen will stay open through the evenings events.
So, if there is no music on a certain date, the Hi-Tone is just a restaurant and bar and we're open until 3am.
The Hi Tone was established in 1998 and quickly became one of Memphis' premiere music venues. Under new ownership in December
of 2007, the Hi Tone has re-dedicated itself to bring Memphians and mid-southerners the best national and local acts from
a wide variety of musical genres.
The Hi-Tone has been voted #1 Place to See Live Music six times since 1998 by the Memphis Flyer's "Best of Memphis"
public polls. The Hi-Tone brings more original live music to the city than most all other venues combined. The house produces
over 300 shows per year with nearly 1000 sets per year.
Conveniently located in the heart of midtown in Memphis (just west from Tucker on Poplar across the street from Overton
Park), the Hi-Tone offers music fans a unique experience with world-class musical talent.
